AMCC Q14000 Bipolar VINTAGE ARRAY INFORMATIONAMCC discontinued its Array Business Unit January 1995. [ASIC - Application-Specific Integrated Circuit; not to be confused with today's arrays.] However, as the chips age, people are trying to understand how they work so they can design a replacement. The seminar and the user manual did not contain any base-die (process) information. Everything discussed involved the two-layer metalization. The textbook on the left is a summary of the information contained in the user's manual, Vol I and Vol II, and the classroom lecture notes. Here are the references. Both links to the (903) release and the (809) releases are contained on this page. This is the Vol I of the Design manual for the Q14000B Series Arrays - release (903) - it contained all four arrays. This manual marked the change from OEM to a ME SE computer and impact printers to a laserjet printer. Pretty obvious quality change. This version includes the full macro library. One thing you can always count on. Blink, and technology will change. Q14000 BiCOMS Array Series Rapid Reference (803) This is an early copy - only lists two arrays. Q14000 Design Manual (excluding the Macro Library (803) - only has the first two arrays Q14000 Design Manual Macro Quicksheets Q14000 Datasheet Version B Q14000 BiCOMS Process Sketch |
